She just gets worse, and worse, and worse.

I will confess something. I made last nights post, before the episode ended. I was watching with McFiance, and was giving too much time to my computer, and not enough time to her, and so I put the computer away.

Then, Meredith got worse. First, she just flat out lied. "I am normally a really nice person." She says to Lexie. Well, no, no she isn't, as Dr. Burke's mother so fantastically pointed out, she is a fairly terrible person, and has little to no redeeming qualities.

I really felt for McDreamy in the end. Yeah, it was bad for McSteamy to lie to Meredith, but, he was doing it for the right reasons, to help Derek, because, as the McBitchy voice-over pointed out, addiction is a bad thing, and Derek is, clearly, addicted to Meredith, in a fairly bad way. What's worse is, she knows it, she knows he is, and she knows how he feels. Remember the point in his life when he found Meredith, his wife was cheating on him, he found this fun girl full of life, and he fell for her, hard. He had second thoughts, tried to make it work with his wife, and realized that Meredith was for him. He then went back to her, and fought to get her from McVet, and won. Now, she is just using him, and what's worse she is blaming it all on her dad.

I do not excuse her father for leaving her, and for going off with Lexie's mom. However, Meredith's mom was sleeping with the Chief. Not only that, she was cold, and a total career woman. Here is my problem with Meredith, she is pushing away other people, not because of what her Dad did to her, leaving, when she was young. She is pushing people away because she is JUST like her mother. She is focused on herself, and not on caring for others. She it taking it out on poor Lexie, who, admittedly, looks to be half the Doctor Meredith is, but she is taking it out on Lexie, who turned out to be, so far, a fairly nice and normal young woman. Meredith isn't cold, and untrusting, and selfish because of what her dad did to her, she is that way because of how her mother raised her. Hopefully that will be explored a bit more, who knows.

Until then, the Office was pretty funny last night, and I am being drawn back into Smallville, oh how great Supergirl is.
